Small utensils for mastic, produced in Armolia. People used to place mastic inside in order to sell it or offer it to their friends and families. These utensils were also used by shops that sold mastic. The owners ordered them to the potters of Armolia, in big quantities. Such orders placed the Chios Gum Mastic Growers Association too. There are three sizes. The smaller one is called 'kleftiko' ('of the thief' in Greek). It could fit only a small amount of mastic and thus the buyer was cheated. The medium and large ones are called 'bourboulakia'. Today only the medium size exists. Nowadays people do not use them to store mastic. They are mainly decorative.
