      Start weaving:
      Using a weft thread of flexible material which goes well around the warp thread, the weaver carries out a first passée from right to left, taking care to leave the threads free at each end so that they can be used to check that the width of its fabric is respected.

      These threads are called: “guide threads” (fils guides).
